An Autumn Woodland Walk

This walk is largely on good paths in woodland, offering welcome shade, if we are lucky with the weather. The route is undulating, with some very nice panoramic views. The pace will be a an average 2.5 miles an hour on the flat but slower on the hills.

Leaving Dry Hill Nature Reserve we make our way south via Goathurst Common to the village of Ide Hill where we will have our picnic lunch on the green, refreshments are available at the nearby Cock Inn.

After lunch we drop down the hill before climbing up again into Scords Wood and turn north, skirting Emmetts Garden. We then pass through a mixture of open fields and woodland back to the start.

Please bring a picnic and a drink
