We made our way into Knole Park with its nice manmade paths, providing an early mud free experience.\n\nWe then made our way to Carters Hill and its panoramic views before following the undulating Greensand Way through woodland where it was impossible to avoid mud, but far less mud then on walks a few weeks earlier. The Greensand Way led us into Ightham Mote where we had our picnic and tea or coffee in the restaurant.\n\nAfter lunch we started our return passing ancient “Hoppers Huts” before making our way through Broadhoath Woods and up its steep steps to Bitchet Green.
